Hypothesis

I believe that the ball will loose speed due to the bounce because it hits another object and transfers a amount of energy/speed into the ground causing it to loose speed.

Materials

  1. Solid Smooth Basketball Court

  2. 1 Pumped up Basketball

  3. 1 Ipad

  4. Vernier Video Graphing

  5. 2 Extremely Handsome Basketball Players

Conclusion

I'm a paragraph. Click here to add your own text and edit me. It's easy. In a nutshell our project isn't so much a real world problem but more of an informational about how a game that is played and loved around the world is greatly impacted by physics. Both me and my partner play this sport so we have a personal connection with it. But our project is basically just explaining the physics behind the sport. So the physics behind a bounce pass or the physics behind the arc of a shot. Physics greatly impacts everything in basketball. For example if your jump shot doesn't have arc then you won't be able to make it. Also if you don't understand the physics of a bounce pass your passes will just go everywhere and it won't be able to make it to your targeted person. Both me and my partner attempt to break down the physics behind a bounce pass. This is useful for both me and my partner because as I said before both me and my partner play the sport of basketball so we've probably thrown like a thousand bounce passes.
